Accessibility Statement
Purpose
This policy ensures that all children, families, and visitors with disabilities are provided equitable, respectful, and inclusive access to the services and programs offered by Arimyl Living. It aligns with the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and its associated standards.

Arimyl Living is committed to removing barriers and promoting equal participation for individuals with disabilities. We strive to offer services in a manner that respects dignity, encourages independence, and provides the same opportunities to all service users, including those with accessibility needs.
Inclusive Communication
All staff and volunteers will communicate with individuals in a way that reflects sensitivity to their specific accessibility needs. Training will be provided to ensure effective interaction with people with a wide range of disabilities.
Alternative Contact Options

Interpretation Services
When a child, guardian, or visitor communicates in American Sign Language (ASL), we will arrange interpretation services at no cost. Staff will be trained on working alongside interpreters effectively and respectfully.
Use of Assistive Equipment
Clients and family members who rely on personal assistive devices are fully supported. Staff will receive instruction on how to accommodate and assist with these devices during service delivery.
Accessible Documentation
Upon request, important documents such as invoices and notices will be made available in alternative formats. We will respond to questions or concerns through the person’s preferred method of communication.
Service Animal Policy
Service animals are welcome in all public and client-accessible areas. Staff are trained to interact with both the handler and the animal respectfully.
Support Persons
Individuals who require the help of a support person are always welcome to be accompanied while accessing our services.
Facility Accessibility
Arimyl Living will ensure that facilities such as entrances, common areas, and washrooms are as accessible as possible.
Service Interruptions
If services or physical access are disrupted, we will inform clients with notice that includes the reason, duration, and alternatives.
Training Requirements
All employees, volunteers, and placement students will complete accessibility training within their first month, including ongoing updates.
Feedback and Complaints
We welcome feedback and complaints through verbal, written, phone, email, or feedback forms. Issues may be escalated to the Program Manager or Executive Director.

We regularly review our policies and revise any practices that hinder accessibility.
